Gardaí not treating discovery of body in Boyle as suspicious

Roscommon Gardaí are not treating the discovery of a body in Boyle as suspicious.

The body of a man in his 80s was recovered from the canal in the town yesterday morning.

The body was removed from the scene and a post mortem examination will take place at a later date.

Local Gardaí are appealing for anyone who noticed anything out of the ordinary to contact them at Castlerea Garda Station
