Gardaí appeal for information following Castlerea car theft

Gardaí in Roscommon are appealling for information following the theft of a vehicle in Castlerea.

The incident happened on Tuesday at around 5:30pm on the Williamstown Road. A woman in her 70's was injured during the incident and she later received treatment at Sligo University Hospital. Gardaí have confirmed that no arrests have been made but they are following a definite line of enquiry.

Anyone with information on the incident and who may know the whereabouts of a red Volkswagen Fox hatchback with an 08 RN registration is asked to contact Castlerea Garda Station on 094 962 1630 or the Garda Confidential Line.
