A Garda recruitment open day is taking place this week and is targeted at all those who wish to find out more about working in the force. The event will be held at the Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon on Wednesday from 5pm to 9pm.
The current recruitment competition is closing on February 27th at 3pm. Local Garda inspector Gerry Curley says the retention crisis the sector is facing should not stop people from applying:
