An investigation is continuing after a Garda was injured in Athlone.
The Garda suffered what have been described as “non-life threatening” injuries.
Gardaí say it happened at around 11am last Thursday in the O’Connell Street area of the town.

A man in his 30s was later arrested and charged.
During the course of the arrest, the Garda was struck by a bicycle.
He later appeared at a sitting of Athlone District Court.
