Gardaí in the Shannonside region are set to be included in a roll-out of body cameras.
150 million euro is to be spent over the next 15 years.
The expansion follows a successful proof-of-concept phase in 2024, which saw Gardaí in Dublin, Limerick and Waterford trial the devices.
