Ukrainian Yevhen Shutko, 46, who lives in Co Roscommon, was charged with assault causing serious harm, under Section 4 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Persons Act.

A GoFundMe appeal was set up to raise funds to repatriate Jordon’s remains to Kent in England for his funeral.

It has raised over £8,600 so far – which is almost €10,000.

Sources say this is enough to cover the repatriation and funeral, and any leftover funds will go to his three daughters.

His funeral arrangements have not been confirmed yet as his body remains in Ireland, but it’s understood it will take place in Sunningbourne in Kent.
