The funeral of Seamus Finnan has heard of his passion for farming, politics and sport.
He enjoyed a lengthy career as part of Longford County Council from 1967 to 1999.
The late Mr Finnan also contested three General Elections for Fine Gael in the Longford-Westmeath Constituency.
