A Gofundme appeal has been set up to help the family of a teen who is in crippling conditions following a collision in Co. Longford. Nineteen-year-old Maksymilian Zukrowski was severely injured in a collision when his motorcycle collided with an SUV in Kenagh on the 9th of May. He sustained extensive injuries as a result of the accident, including a fractured femur, an open fracture of his left leg in five places, as well as injuries to his head, lungs, and heart. His conditions have seen complications due to brain hypoxia, which has left Maksymilian in a vegetative state.
He has been in intensive care since the day of the accident, and remained in a coma for four weeks. The Polish teen, whose family lives in Ballymahon, is now conscious but unresponsive, and a Gofundme page is calling for donations to help the family cover the hospital bill. His father Artur has thanked the community of Ballymahon and all who have supported his family:
A fundraising event for Maksymilian is taking place on Sunday 13th July at Skelly's Pub in Ballymahon, with tickets priced at €20. All support is much appreciated. To support, please follow the link:
