The 14th-century Dominican friary stands on a site near Frenchpark and is currently still active as a graveyard.

Funding was earmarked for the conservation of Cloonshanville Friary in Co. Roscommon.
The 14th-century Dominican friary stands on a site near Frenchpark and is currently still active as a graveyard.
The archaeological monument is in ruins and conservation works have been ongoing since 2023 under the Community Monuments Fund.

A new wave of funding was announced this week by Ministers James Browne and Christopher O'Sullivan.
Cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council, Liam Callaghan, says monuments such as these draw a lot of tourism:
