€125,000 euro is being spent on technology to allow Roscommon councillors and regional assembly members to attend meetings online.
It's being jointly funded by Roscommon County Council and the Department of Local Government.
Minister Alan Dillon says it will help the council become more family-friendly.

Independent Cllr Tom Crosby believes most local councillors will still opt to attend the meetings in person.
