A new free festival is set to take place in Longford town over the next two days.
WAL Fest which stands for Writers and Artists of Longford, is a celebration of creativity, community, and connection in the county.
The festival has been established to give artists and performers of all ages the opportunity to share their artistic expression through fire performance, visual arts, and live music.

The festival will take place on the 4th and 5th of May at the Temperance Hall, the market square, and The Red Room in PV's in Longford.
