Gardaí in Leitrim are continuing to investigate the discovery of a body in Carrick on Shannon.
The body of a man in his 50s was discovered at Liscara yesterday afternoon, with local Gardaí and emergency services sealing off a section of the Leitrim Road. His body was transferred to the mortuary at Sligo University Hospital for a post mortem examination. The results of the post-mortem will guide the investigation.
Gardaí have confirmed that foul play is not currently suspected.
