A former Roscommon TD is questioning Fianna Fáil’s leadership and future direction following their poor performance in the presidential election.
The election was a disaster for the party, with Jim Gavin pulling out of the campaign after a rental controversy.
Eugene Murphy, from Co. Roscommon, quit the party last year after serving in the Dáil and Seanad.
He believes Taoiseach Micheál Martin should consider standing down as leader.
