The former mayor of the City of Downey in California has visited Roscommon County Council's headquarters.
Mario Guerra paid a courtesy call to Áras an Chontae yesterday.
Downey was founded by Taughmaconnell native John Gately Downey in 1873, and is twinned with Co Roscommon.
