A former sports club based in Longford has now relocated to just outside Mullingar.
Last august the Longford Roller Rink was dismantled after the club was told that the premises it was located in at Mastertech Business park was required for other purposes.
It had operated successfully in the town for seven years but despite a strong public campaign, the in-line hockey club was unable to find alternative accommodation in the town.
They did commence training at a facility in Granard last autumn but have now found a permanent home in Clonkill GAA club near Mullingar.
They are hosting an an open day on Saturday may 7th between 10am and 2pm for anyone interested in trying the sport.
