The Forestry Minister is not committing to providing compensation to victims of the massive west Roscommon fire. Hundreds of thousands of euro worth of forestry was destroyed in Gortaganny and Carrowbehy last month.
Michael Healy-Rae met a delegation from the community and local politicians in Dublin yesterday. Local Fianna Fáíl TD Martin Daly was there, and he says the Minister made no commitment to landowners:
