Flu continues to impact wards at Sligo University Hospital.
There are currently two outbreaks in separate wards.
Prior to Christmas Day, the hospital issued a plea to those with flu-like symptoms not to visit the facility.
The two outbreaks are less than the six which were reported on December 17th.
26 patients with flu are being treated across the hospital.
As an infection control measure, strict visiting restrictions remain in place.
Visiting is limited to direct family only between 6 and 8pm and children should not visit adult wards.
Anyone coming to the hospital must wash their hands and use hand gel regularly.
Staff may ask you to wear a face mask, if so, please do so to help prevent the spread of serious respiratory illness to our sick and vulnerable patients.
Face masks are widely available across the hospital.
If you have symptoms such as aches, fever, sore throat or cough, you are asked to postpone your visit for at least 48 hours after your symptoms clear.
