It was announced last July that a new state of the art surgical hub is set to be developed, which will operate in conjunction with existing services.

It's emerged five elected surgeries cancelled at Sligo University Hospital last month.
A leak from the orthopeadic theatre roof and failure in the radiator pipework has left numerous delays at the facility.
Clarity has been sought over the delivery timeline for a planned surgical hub there following renewed concerns about delays to the project.

It was announced last July that a new state of the art surgical hub is set to be developed, which will operate in conjunction with existing services.
Fianna Fáil Deputy Scanlon has warned that the project risks falling behind schedule without stronger oversight and clear timelines.
