A local TD has described some of the government's housing policies as madness.
The Social Democrats put forward a motion yesterday to address the housing crisis, including closing 'legal tax loopholes' that benefit some property investors.
Opposition parties were also against a review of Rent Pressure Zones, that could get rid of limits on how much landlords can increase rent.
