The fisherman recovered off the northwest coast has been named locally as Kevin McCloskey.
His body was found by a local fishing vessel off Teelin in County Donegal just before 6 o'clock yesterday evening.
A multi-agency search operation was launched after a member of the public raised the alarm on Thursday evening.

The Coast Guard has extended its sympathies to Mr. McCloskey's family and thanked all those involved in the search.
