Gardaí in Ballinasloe have arrested a man after the seizure of firearms and drug production equipment from a residence in Woodlawn today.
During the course of a planned search operation, Gardaí seized two firearms, ammunition and a cocaine press at the residence in Ballinasloe.
The search was part of an ongoing operation targeting criminal activity in the Galway Division and surrounding areas.

The firearms have now been sent for a technical examination by the Ballistics Section of the Garda Technical Bureau.
A man aged in his 40s was arrested and is currently being held at a station in the region.
