17% of people say they've cut back on essentials, including food, because they are so worried about their finances.
A survey conducted for the Society of the St. Vincent De Paul has found the number of people struggling financially has doubled since the start of the pandemic, from from 9 to 18%.
The Red C poll found 37% have cut back on their heating and electricity use, that rises to 50% among single parents.
