A final grant of planning permission has been issued for a 72-room tourist hostel in Carrick-on-Shannon - after no appeal was lodged.
It officially paves the way for the project to proceed.
Goldpine Partnership applied to Leitrim County Council last year to develop the hostel at Flynn's Field in the town.
It would accommodate 244 guests in 72 rooms.
It would also have three retail units.
The council granted planning permission in January - despite objections from some people.
Those objectors had four weeks to lodge an appeal to An Coimisiún Pleanála, but did not do so.
Therefore, the council has now issued a final grant of planning.
The council says it must be for short-term guest accommodation - and not for long-term use.
