Files to be prepared for coroner following Roscommon fire tragedy

The couple died in a tragic house fire in the early hours of Thursday morning

Files are to be prepared for the county coroner in Roscommon following the death of two people in a house fire earlier this week.

Joey Tumelty and Nuala Kenny were pronounced dead at the scene of a fire at their home in Gurth, Ballinasloe on Thursday morning after emergency services were alerted to a blaze in the dormer bungalow at around 2am.

Post mortem exams have been completed on their bodies, and Gardai have now confirmed they are not treating the deaths as suspicious.
