Figures show lengthy chemo wait for local patients

According to The National Cancer Control Programme, more than 90 per cent of patients should begin therapy within 15 working days.

It's emerged that on average, half of chemotherapy patients at Sligo University Hospital received their treatment within the recommended time frame in the first two months of this year.
