A Fine Gael TD is defending Sligo University Hospital after it emerged 370 people were on trolleys there this month.
Some 246 were left without a bed in the emergency department and 124 in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
But it's a drop from March and April, when over 500 people were on trolleys each month.
