Support has been given locally to Heather Humphreys in her quest to become the next president of Ireland.
Fine Gael members are set to choose between Ms Humphreys and Seán Kelly as the party's candidate to contest the presidential election.
Any candidate seeking the party's nomination requires 20 votes from Councillors, 25 members of the Oireachtas and five members of the Executive Council.
Nominations for the party's presidential candidate reopened at midday today and will close at midday on 2 September.
Sligo-Leitrim TD Frank Feighan worked alongside the Monaghan native for a number of years.
