A west Roscommon fire-fighter is urging people to careful in the hot weather this weekend - to avoid a repeat of the Gortaganny blaze.
Hundreds of acres of forestry was burned in that fire in May.
The Department of Agriculture has issued a condition red forest fire warning for the weekend - the highest alert available.
