A number of big events are being planned to mark Knock Airport's 40th anniversary this year. The popular local airport opened in 1986 thanks to the work by the likes Monsignor James Horan.
It now has over 20 destinations to fly to and welcomed over 900,000 passengers last year. Head of Marketing at Ireland West Airport, Donal Healy, says it will be a year of celebration in 2026:
