A former Fianna Fáil politician has slammed the lack of transparency around asylum-seeker accommodation in Roscommon.
It comes as Noel Whelan has applied to An Bord Pleanála for permission to house refugees.
He is seeking to avail of an exemption in order to accommodate international protection applicants at Academy House.
The application was lodged on April 14th for the former Roscommon Champion building.
