Ericsson is preparing to reduce its workforce at its Athlone facility, with close to 30 roles expected to be impacted. The proposed departures will take place through a voluntary redundancy scheme linked to one of the company's technical divisions.
Staff were recently briefed on the plans and invited to express interest within a set timeframe. The company said the decision forms part of broader international cost-cutting and restructuring measures.
