A Leitrim councillor says he supports introducing a small business support scheme in the county.
Commercial rates increased by 5% in Leitrim for the second consecutive year following the councils budget meeting in November.
Fine Gael's Enda McGloin says he would like to see a scheme introduced where the full rates increase wouldn't apply to smaller businesses.
