Permanent traffic lights will be operational on the Battery Road in Longford town in three weeks' time.
The controversial road works have caused big traffic delays for the past two years.
But they are now substantially complete, with dedicated cycle paths and new footpaths in place.

The council says permanent traffic lights will be operational after the June Bank Holiday weekend - with temporary lights used occasionally in the meantime.
Local councillor Uruemu Adejinmi is welcoming the progress:
