Emergency services at scene of reported explosion in west Roscommon

Emergency services remain at the scene of a reported explosion and subsequent house fire at a property in The Oaks housing estate in Frenchpark this evening.

Fire crews are currently searching for one person reported to have been in the house at the time of the incident.

The explosion caused significant damage to the house and an adjacent property while a number of neighbouring houses have suffered material damage.

Gardaí say they were made aware of the incident at 7.15pm this evening and remain at the scene.
