The Emergency Departments at local hospitals are under significant pressure today. The INMO have reported this morning that 17 patients at Portiuncla Hospital were waiting on trolleys whilst 22 in Sligo University Hospital were without a bed.
Meanwhile, seven patients in the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar were waiting on trolleys as of this morning. Nationally, 450 patients were without a bed this morning with 79 people on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick.
