Electricity has finally been restored to all homes and businesses in the Shannonside region – almost three weeks after Storm Eowyn.
There were over 30,000 outages in Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon after the unprecedented weather event.
But they were all fixed tonight, according to the ESB’s website.
People can get compensation from the state under the Humanitarian Assistance Scheme.
But Sligo-Leitrim TD Martin Kenny, from Sinn Fein, was very critical of it in the Dáil this evening.
