Funding of 80-thousand euro has been welcomed for the Monksland area in south Roscommon.
The announcement was made as part of the Community Recognition Fund and will go towards a recreational and playground project.
The fund supports communities across Ireland that have welcomed new arrivals, particularly those from Ukraine.
