Fines for littering and dog fouling will be increased by 100 euro from the beginning of September.
Minister of State for the Circular Economy Alan Dillon has announced that these on-the-spot fines will rise from 150 euro to 250.
The move is aimed at deterring littering and illegal dumping, and the minister will encourage local authorities to improve enforcement.
