Drumshanbo hotel to close as refugee centre, Minister confirms
The Lough Allen Hotel has been a refugee centre for two years

It has been accommodating 170 Ukrainian refugees for over two years.

The Lough Allen Hotel in Drumshanbo will close as a centre for refugees in less than two weeks’ time.

It has been accommodating 170 Ukrainian refugees for over two years.

But they were told last week they would have to leave at the end of this month.

Adam Ó Ceallaigh, from Drumshanbo, is running for the Green Party in the local elections.

He has received clarity from his party colleague, Integration Minister Roderic O’Gorman, that it will close at the end of May.
