Gardaí investigating the sale and supply of illegal drugs in the towns of Ballyhaunis, Castlerea and Ballaghadereen have seized a quantity of suspected drugs following a search operation.
As part of ongoing enquiries, Gardaí attached to the Mayo/Roscommon/Longford Divisional Drugs Unit, assisted by colleagues from Ballyhaunis Garda Station, executed a search warrant at a rural property on January 16th.
During the course of the search, Gardaí recovered quantities of suspected cannabis and cocaine with an estimated value of €13,000.

The substances seized have been sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
A man has since been arrested and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
