A motorist was detected travelling at 206 kilometres per hour in a 120 zone on the M6 in Ballinasloe over the weekend.
More than 2,200 drivers were caught speeding during the Garda Bank Holiday weekend road policing operation.
The 5-day operation ran from Thursday morning until yesterday at 7am.
