A motorist has been arrested by Longford Roscommon Gardaí following an attempted evasion of a Garda traffic checkpoint.
While undertaking the traffic operation, local Gardaí observed the motorist turning the car away from the checkpoint.
The vehicle was stopped and through the Garda mobility app, it was discovered the driver of the car was disqualified.

The motorist was arrested by Gardaí and court proceedings to follow.
