Junior and Leaving Cert practical exams have been cancelled over the ongoing fuel protests - with local schools impacted.
The State Examinations Commission announced last night it was deferring the Leaving Cert Music and Junior Cycle Home Economics practicals, which were scheduled for today.
The SEC stated the decision was made because it could not be sure that all examiners and students would be able to travel to their schools.
The state body said it was doing so in a "commitment to providing clarity and certainty for young people at an important time in their education."
