The HSE has confirmed the appointment of a property professional to dispose of surplus lands on the St Brigid's Hospital campus in Ballinasloe.
Responding to a question from Cllr Dr Evelyn Francis Parsons at this month's Regional Health Forum West meeting, Joe Hoare, Assistant National Director of Capital and Estates West, confirmed that an external advisor had only recently been appointed to support the disposal of surplus lands and buildings on the site.
He said that engagement is planned to clarify the requirements as well as expected timelines for the disposal.

The HSE first announced the intention to dispose of surplus lands and buildings at the former psychiatric hospital in 2019.
