Disgust has been expressed in Athlone after a number of littering incidents in recent days. A significant amount of litter was found dumped at Connaught Street and Connaught Gardens in recent days.
With the town enjoying a burgeoning reputation, it's felt such incidents is undoing work done by local groups. Local Cllr John Gibbons has condemned the incident:
