Locals in North Longford are expressing their disgust today after close to 100 bottles of burnt oil were discovered dumped at a popular amenity.
The bottles were discovered at the entrance to the Edenmore Bog trail near Ballinamuck village today.
The popular 4.5km walkway is used by many year round, with the dump site located close to a waterway.
Dumped oil can cause serious environmental damage when introduced to the watertable.
