The HSE has been given a derelict sites notice over the poor condition of a former psychiatric hospital in Ballinasloe.
St Brigid's Hospital, which had 22 beds, was closed down in 2013 and has remained vacant since then.
The HSE says it has engaged with the local authority in relation to reaching an agreement on the derelict sites notice.
