There has been a delay in the new traffic lights in Frenchpark being fully operational.
It was expected earlier this week that the lights would be completed ahead of the busy Bank Holiday weekend. The junction has been the scene of a number of accidents in recent years.
A spokesperson for Roscommon County Council said it's hoped the lights will be operational within the next two weeks.
