Christy Maye, a well-known businessman in the Midlands, has passed away following a short illness.
He once owned the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore and was the owner of the Greville Arms in Mullingar.
Christy, aged 83, was also a founding member of the Tullamore Show and helped introduce disco music to Ireland in the 1960s.

He is survived by his wife Eileen and their three children.
Funeral details have yet to be confirmed.
