Gardaí are patrolling rail services locally today as part of a day of engagement to combat anti-social behaviour on public transport.
Operation 'Twin Tracks' is taking place on eight Intercity rail routes as well as on DART and Luas services in Dublin.
The operation is being carried out in partnership with Iarnród Éireann and the National Transport Authority.

Among the intercity routes is the Sligo to Dublin Connolly line, which includes a number of stops in the Shannonside region.
